Discover the area
St Aulaye http://www.tourisme-saintaulaye.fr/ is a Bastide town dating back to 1288 situated on the banks of the River Dronne. It boasts a delightful river beach only 400 metres from our front door where, during the summer months, the swimming area is supervised during the afternoons, there are canoes and pedalos available for hire and there is a bar, restaurant and pizza hut. Opposite the beach is the public swimming pool and water flumes. A short walk in the other direction brings you into the centre of the town where you will find a few shops, bars, hotel and restaurant and pharmacy. A little further on there is a Carrefour Connect supermarket , petrol station, hardware and animal food shop and takeaway Pizza bar.
